10 Undergraduate students attended a 10-week Research Experiences for Undergraduate (REU) program in the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia in Summer 2014. The REU program provided an interdisciplinary research experience at the interface of nanotechnology and biomedicine. Students worked on projects such as applying microfluidics for single cell biological clock study, 3D printing scaffolds for bone grafting, computational modeling of cortical folding, etc. They presented their findings at a research symposium sponsored by our College and a joint poster session in the end. During the program, students also received career development advising from faculty, students and staff members in the College of Engineering.<\/p>\n
