The College of Engineering is heavily involved in important research and it was exciting to learn about studies being conducted by professors from different fields. Downtown Athens is also very convenient and fun for shopping and eating out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Aqsa Malik, a junior biology student at Emory University, spent this summer conducting research in the UGA College of Engineering as part of our Nano<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">technology and Biomedicine REU program. She worked in Dr. Peter Kner&#8217;s lab, where she helped create a 3D brain atlas of the zebrafish&#8217;s central nervous system and to capture seizure events in the zebrafish&#8217;s brain.
