2016 REU POSTER SHOWCASE

2016 REU POSTER SHOWCASE

A Poster session, showcasing research by all UGA REU programs, was held on July 22, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 at the Georgia Center. 11 students from NanoBio REU program participated in the showcase, where they presented biomedical engineering research conducted by exploring the interface between nanotechnology and biomedicine.

The NSF REU program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program. In 2016, a total of 60 students from around the country came to UGA to participate in five REU Site programs and to perform research in a wide variety of biology-related disciplines under the supervision of UGA faculty.

The NanoBio REU program is an interdisciplinary research experience at the interface of nanotechnology and biomedicine, leveraging the diverse interdisciplinary expertise, resources, and training opportunities in this area at UGA.
